Having recently gone through a rebrand The Breakthrough Institute needed to refresh the materials for their annual conferences. I was hired to fold in their new overall branding while creating a unique space for the look and feel of their conference materials.
The programing of the talks is both content-heavy literally and heavy in content figuratively. Copy block sections of the program were kept clean, and uniform for ease in locating information. In contrast, the imagery and colors were chosen to be dramatic in both subject and saturation to offset long copy blocks.
The Breakthrough Institute hosts two talks annually, each with a unique focus and visual style.
Programs, digital assets, and signage all follow the branding work I helped develop for each of the talks in 2019. Breakthrough Dialogues 2021 signage and program editorials are shown above and the Ecomodernism event for 2021 below.
Normally the imagery for each even’s theme is provided to me as an asset for layout but for the 2021 Ecomodernism event I provided the illustration and palette based on the initial brief for the conference’s theme.
After two plus years of a pandemic BTI held an intimate indoor holiday meal at the end of 2021 for their small staff. I helped design the menus for their event. Each menu was personalized with the name of the employee and a few different menus that took into account dietary restrictions for each individual.
